Yes Finance was founded in 1997 as a private company and is 100% New Zealand owned and operated. Back in 1997, Yes Finance concentrated on the retail sector providing finance facilities to retail outlets for their customers to purchase goods.
In a very short time it became apparent that many New Zealanders found it difficult to talk to main stream lenders, like banks and large finance companies, which were very rigid in their approach. They wanted an alternative; a finance company they could talk to that was small enough to listen to their needs and provided customer-focused solutions.
Since then, Yes Finance has gone from strength to strength. We have prospered through the troubled times of the global economy and become stronger for it.
Today, Yes Finance is a solid, resilient and trustworthy financial “Solution Provider”. We provide quick and easy financial products and services, both online and in person, such as:
- Personal finance – Loans to private individuals for personal needs including purchases like vehicles, boats, caravans, holidays, special days like weddings, debt consolidation and other personal reasons.
- Motor vehicle finance – Providing finance facilities to vehicle dealerships for the sale of cars, trucks, boats and caravans.
- Business loans – For plant or other asset purchases.
- Vendor finance– Providing finance facilities to retail outlets for their customers to purchase goods.

Meet the Team
Peter – CEO & Director
Peter is the vision behind Yes Finance.
After completing his education Peter worked the next 17 years in the family firm, an automotive dealership. He started at the bottom progressing through the sales force to management, eventually becoming dealer principal. Incorporated under this company’s umbrella was also a boutique finance company which provided finance for the dealership’s customers. Peter also became managing director of this business and served on the local board of the Motor Vehicle Dealers Association.
Peter’s passion for the finance industry lead to the establishment of Yes Finance in 1997. The business has grown year on year and is establishing itself as a specialist provider of personal and business finance to everyday New Zealanders.
Peter is an avid boatie and has obtained certification to New Zealand Boat Masters level. Over the years he has also developed a keen interest in golf.
