Yes Finance is generally more lenient than lenders like banks. We will verify all information provided in the loan application to ensure accurate details have been provided. We will base our lending decision on several factors including:
Security – Typically loans must be secured against unencumbered (freehold) vehicles, boats, personal chattels or property. Where a principal borrower does not have any available security, this may be provided by a partner or relative who would become a party to the loan as a co-borrower or guarantor.
Stability – We consider both your residential status and employment situation. These would need to be stable, and your income will need to be consistent.
Affordability – Your ability to repay your loan and meet your existing outgoings.
Credit History Your credit history is checked and we will require an acceptable explanation for any defaults. If your credit history is not acceptable we will require a guarantor who has a proven credit history.
What is a Pre-approved Loan?
If you want to purchase a vehicle, boat, caravan – or almost anything – but need to know if you can get the finance to pay for it, we can give you a pre-approved personal loan.
A pre-approved loan will enable you to shop around for your purchase with the knowledge that your finance is already approved.
Pre-approved loans are valid for 30 days from the date of approval.
What is a secured personal loan?
A secured loan is a loan where the borrower provides an asset (e.g. a car or property) as security for the loan, this may be provided by a partner or relative who would become a party to the loan as a co-borrower. In some cases you can borrow up to 100% of the value of the security. The interest rate charged will also reflect the quality of the security and the amount of the loan versus the value of the security.
Our loans are commonly secured by motor vehicles, property caveat, boats, caravans, household chattels, or a combination of them. If you are borrowing to purchase an asset we can use that asset as security or partial security for the loan.
If you have any questions, can’t find the answer on our site or want to know more about the process or information you have been asked to provide, give us a call on 0508 10 50 10 or send us a message.
Unsecured personal loans
An unsecured loan is when there is no requirement for you (the borrower) to provide any security for a loan. Typically, this means that the amount you can borrow is less and the interest rate charged is normally higher.
Yes Finance provides unsecured loans of up to $2,000. To qualify for an unsecured loan you must be in stable employment with sufficient income and have no prior adverse credit history.
